According to the press release concerning the analysis from the US security information consultant institute “Stratfor” the other day; if Taiwan allows the US warships to dock at the Taiping Island, it fears that China would see such event as a severe provocation. The Ministry of National Defense said today (7^th), defend the core value of freedom, democracy, and human right of ROC, ensure the regional stability and peace is the critical mission to our National Army; furthermore, humanitarian aid is a universal value. Based on the policy that the government has built Taiping Island as an international humanitarian aid center, where an application or requirement is submitted to ROC, the Ministry will consider the interests of the region and our country for determination, provide necessary assistance, and exhibit the contribution of ROC in international humanitarian aid.
